House of Prayer Port Moresby (HOP POM) is a ministry of Youth With a Mission (YWAM)
We believe prayer and missions belong together. That’s why we have two ministry expressions: a house of prayer in the capital and a bush clinic in the province of New Ireland. The House of prayer is established to serve the body of Christ to take its place in the nation and to see justice released in PNG. The bush clinic is the mercy arm of the house of prayer. Its goal is to save lives and improve health care for the people in New Ireland.
Papua New Guinea (PNG) is a beautiful country, with many cultures and languages, rivers and jungles and mountains, and a land of the unexpected. But PNG is struggling with corruption and domestic violence. We have the highest HIV rate in the Pacific. Sam from PNG: “My cousin (26 years old, Mom of one child) and her baby died during delivery in September 2016. The equipment in the Health Centres is limited, medicine always runs out. This shouldn’t be daily routine in the 21. century!”

Luke 18, we are called to be like the persistent widow who does not cease to come before the judge until he releases justice to her. God has called us to be like her and not to give up praying.
